This is how bah gua shd be

This is how bah gua shd be eaten, steaming hot with its zup trickling down ya palate when you sink ya teeth into it. There's juz too much anticipation and tension shrouding the upcoming MBBS, so I decided to take a little breather by visiting my neighbourhood Bee Cheng Hiang stall.

Life is indeed made up of many simple pleasures.

It's all in the eyes

It's all in the eyes. It's what sets you apart from one another. The one above left spells seduction while the one above right leaves us all shrouded in a cloud of mystery and excitement.

Anyway, some juz prefer to adopt a much simpler approach in girl-watching. Like my gd friend, Derrick, who strongly believes that we shd appreciate a girl's beauty as a whole, and not juz focus on her mystical gaze or cherubic smile.

My job application form

Approaching the end of my undergrad studies, so gotta fill up my job application form. The form is pretty straight forward, asking you basic stuff like where you stay and what's ya name. Then I came to this part that asks me to state the awards, prizes that I had won. I assume they are referring to the non academic aspects. They gave me 4 empty blank spaces. Hmm, sounds interesting. I thought this is the one and only chance to make up for my less than spectacular grades. I filled up the 1st 2 spaces quite easily, with my Hwachong colours and sec sch table-tennis. I realised I still have 2 more empty spaces to fill. *scratch head* 'Cannot leave blank', I told myself. Went to ransack my cabinet and found the above trophy, 2 in fact. The 1st is the one above " NUS U-9yrs 100m free silver" and another, "Intra tanjong pagar GRC 50m free gold". What the heck!! Both dun sound very good.. After the much deliberation, I chose the former. Yes, yes, it's U-9yrs, I know. Ok, 3 spaces filled, 1 more empty blank to fill up. I ransacked my cabinet again and found this truely ancient, long-forgotten gem below:

I took part in a paper-car making competition in sec 4 and apparently my AE86 did quite well.

A band of brothers

I've juz been swept by a feeling of nostalgia and hence, decided to upload some canoeing pics (courtesy of our coach, Joseph) to relieve the best moments of my adolescence all over again. The above pic features my very good pal, Junlei aka Wolfgang. Remember that grin, coz it's gonna grace many Wallstreet journals, Her World magazine covers in yrs to come. Here's a toast to one of the most promising bankers London will ever see, the proud son of Chomp Chomp, the patron of yangtze. Featured in the pic above is also my ever dependable doubles partner, Deltoids Lau. He is the real thrust behind the orange cruizer, check out his deltoids and you will know why.
What is a team without a leader, a ship without an admiral and of course, a dragon boat without a coxswain?!?! Featuring in the pic above is one of the most talented and gifted tactical directors of all time, Cpt ZY Lim (in a cap). Like all true tacticians, he has a henchman behind him relaying his orders via a loud header. A picture of calm and composure, isn't it? When any of us, prima donnas, question his decisions/rationale, he will shoot back in typical fashion "You can't handle the truth!". We won for that yr.
That is me in front : ) I dun look quite the same anymore, unfortunately.
Alas.... The old sea dog, above, playing second fiddle. sigh..

I've left out my other good pal, Ryan. While we were busy riding the Kallang waves, he is either in town swooning some chicks or playing cha-teh with aiky at our class bench: )
